How does it work?
1) Pick your sunrise date and let us know the occasion. 2) Drive in from Mexico City (about an hour) or add transport, arriving at the We Fly Teotihuacan reception roughly 30 minutes before dawn. 3) Fly with the balloon all to yourselves, then land and toast together. Above 10 km/h (about 6 mph) of surface wind we do not fly, and the pilot in command settles that at the field that dawn: a grounded charter reschedules free, with no limit on how many times.

Leave Mexico City by 4:30 AM if you drive yourselves. The launch field is about 50 km northeast of the city, roughly an hour on Highway 85D with a $72 MXN toll each way (about US$4), and your charter checks in at 5:30 AM for a lift-off around 6:00 AM. Public transport cannot make it: the first bus to the pyramids leaves at 6:00 AM, when the balloons are already up. If you would rather not drive, add round-trip transport to the charter for about $1,500 MXN (about US$82) per person, with pickup in Mexico City from around 4:30 AM.
Dress for the swing, not for the average. Teotihuacan sits at 2,300 m and first light runs 4 to 9 °C, while a few hours later you are in full sun with no shade; the gap between the mean low and the mean high is 10 to 15 °C in every month of the year. Closed shoes you have already broken in, long trousers and three layers on top you can peel off one at a time are the right call, plus a cap and sunscreen for afterwards.
No. Admission to the Teotihuacan archaeological zone is a separate INAH ticket: $105 MXN (about US$6) for Mexican nationals and foreign residents with ID, and $210 MXN (about US$11) general admission in 2026. The charter ends with the toast on the launch field, and the gates of the archaeological zone open at 08:00 — by then your balloon has been back on the ground for a while, so walking in afterwards is a separate plan and a separate ticket.
